Home Sweet Home

Awe, what an amazing week, which ended with the most amazing homecoming ever! I visited my sister and her family (and the new little baby boy Mason Robert!) in Novato California with my mother last week. We had a great time just hanging out, and ofcourse throwing in a few "touristy" things for me and mom's benefit. Took a tour of the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield CA, which was really cool. Who knew how much effort could go into creating the gourmet jelly bean, and other confectionaries! It takes 21 days for a jelly belly to be created from start to finish... crazy. Free tour and free candy to top it off.

Mason is absolutely adorable, and by the last night he was actually bonding with me and mom! So cute. I was holding him and he fell asleep on my chest and eventually began laughing out loud in his sleep. Little buddy turned 4 months old while we were visiting!

we enjoyed a fun day of shopping (which is saying something cuz I do not appreciate the fine art of shopping).

We had an amazing day at the beach. The cool pacific sand between my toes was awesome. We found a sanddollar buried in the sand as we were walking the beach. Whenever I see the ocean I stand totally amazed how incredibly big God is. I know, now what you were expecting, but the power demonstrated in the ocean waves always reminds me of the amazing expanse of Gods love for us, and the incredible power that our Lord possesses. so humbling, and so amazing.

I was very fearful of the plane ride. and despite a couple patches of "choppy air" we made it through and Mom and I made it there and back without incident. My friend Allie helped me put into perspective my ridiculous fear by telling me "Well you either get to see your sister, or see Jesus, either way it's good!" after laughing my butt off I realized how simply correct she was... it was a great way to get me back under control!

Well, after a great week, it was topped off with an amazing homecoming. My family is so awesome! As my mom and I deboarded the plane Kaylie was waiting with Rob and Jennah with sign that said "Welcome home Mom" and the most amazing part... the tears welling in her little 3 1/2 year old eyes cuz she was so happy to see me. She could hardly contain herself. I couldn't believe how much Jennah had grown in just 1 week! She was so adorable waiting and waving her little hand when she saw me. I was overcome and about it lost it. We left the airport and headed home. When we walked in I was amazed yet again... My husband had decorated the house with balloons and streamers for a welcome home party! He's amazing! We have been working on a redecorating project when I left, and when I got home.... My basement had been repainted, my kitchen had been repainted, and our bedroom had been painted! That was the most tedious job of the redecorating project and he managed to get it all done in a week! Thanks so much to my wonderful mother-in-law for taking vacation from her job to come stay with them so my hubby could finish this wonderful surprise.

Wow, i'm incredibly blessed!
